The purpose of Retki’s test was to find the best and most versatile tent that could be used all year round, particularly in severe wind conditions. The categories the tents were tested against were price, detailing, pitching, comfort and wind durability. Although the winner of the whole test was the Hillebery Kaitum 3GT, Jack Wolfskin’s tent won the editor’s choice - ‘Jack Wolfskin Sanctuary III RT is equal in merit with the winner…. In the wind the tent stays stable and is reliable even during the snowy winter.’ The Sanctuary III RT had impressive wind resistance, especially considering the tents were tested with three snow blowers.
